Vanilla Syrniki with Sour Cherries and Yogurt

Method

First, mix the cherries and sugar in a saucepan to make the jam. Bring to a boil and reduceReduce — To cook down until some of the moisture has evaporated. for 20–25 minutes until thickened.

For the syrniki, combine the cottage cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla seeds.

Add the flour to the mixture.
Chef's tip:
If the cottage cheese is very moist, you can add a little more flour.

Form balls of 40-50 g each.

Fry in a small amount of oil on both sides until golden brown.

Chef's tip:
It’s best to fry them on a preheated pan. This way, a crispy crust forms on the syrniki and they won’t absorb excess fat.
Plating

Place 30 g of Greek yogurt in the center of the plate.
